There’s just something about an evening set aside to indulge in time with family at home that is just good for the soul. If you haven’t prioritized such a time in your home, maybe you should try it?! I think you’ll love it so.
When Thursday rolls around all the kids clamor in anticipation all day long wondering what we will do for our special time together. Sometimes we break out a new board or card game, other times we read the best of the books and enjoy a sweet drink with it, and there’s always movie night. We are sure to pick something that will brighten our spirits when we do. No matter the activity the menu remains unchanged: homemade pizza night. There’s something about tradition that is good and this is one of ours. We all just love it. With five kids in tow, recipes that don’t consume an inordinate amount of time or prior thought are welcome, and they are doubly welcome if they end with delicious result.
I’ve been enjoyed the art of baking since childhood and while I’m not a professional, I am a lover of it. This recipe of ours is simple, tried and true. Try it out for a Pizza sure to make you smile…
SmilesofGrace.org: 5 cups All-Purpose Flour *I love King Arthur Organic
2 teaspoons coarse salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon Dry Active Yeast *Instant
2 + 1/4 cups cold water
Mix all ingredients in kitchen aid mixer for 5-7 mins until smooth and well incorporated. Divide into three well-oiled sections let rise for 30 minutes to an hour. Roll out, top, & bake. Bake at 375 for around 15 mins. *Generously sprinkle coarse salt, garlic powder, and black pepper on sauce prior to adding cheese.
We hope you enjoy it as much as we do! We plan to create little recipe cards soon by grace. I’ll be sure to let you know when we do.
