Sweeter faces have scarcely been sketched. The Lord was showing off his handiwork the day He knit all of this together. That one right there, still stopping my heart in its tracks 4 short long years later. We just celebrated his birthday, and we went all out! The smiles that scrunched up that smooth face and sweat all beaded up in that curly hair was nearly more than a heart could contain. I jumped and danced about unrestrained in response to His joy. Sometimes we just need to stop long enough to tell our Holy Father, thank you! This joy all indescribable and full of glory, wells up in a soul that sees God’s gifts as they are. Though at the first they cannot speak, cannot even eat their own food, yet they bubble over exposing His image with smiles & coos that will warm a cold heart for days on end.
After a day full of life in the Word, in laundry, in errands, in teaching kids, in washing dishes, making meals, preparing to teach….I am spent. I have been living in the thick of it too! It’s nice to know someone is right there with you, isn’t it?! Keep on seeking His face. His presence is always nearer than we think.
