When our invisible God is visible in you, it doesn’t matter if the work you do goes mostly unseen, because He is our God who sees…. Sees past appearances, through facades, sees into things, into people, peers into hearts and He is willing to fill you full. His approval is really the only approval you need.

His approval carries the weight of eternity with it and every other opinion is feather light up against His.

Even the hearts of men are directed by Him; He can grant you favor in the eyes of anyone.

When you spend life richly toward God you stop looking for applause or for accolade, that’s when zeal sets in and life takes shape around a God and a Kingdom eyes cannot see. And that is living. And just as seed covered by earth and dirt goes unseen, it’s fruit bearing beauty will be revealed in the sweet passage of time. For the saint it results in crowns…crowns tossed gladly at the only deserving most beautiful feet.

The quiet things no one will ever give a second thought about, the lowly things that people often despise, these are the very things that God sees and perhaps, I muse, His heart gladdens greatly over. His face shines brilliant and bright on the One willing to do work without pay, expend energy without compliment, give generously without gratification. We’ve lost the beauty sacrifice in an instant gratification culture. We forget that it is the Farmer’s long work that results in a bountiful harvest. It is His patience that yields life.

The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.

2 Peter 3:9

We weary too easily and we’re missing blessing, the blessing of cross bearing, the blessing of following Jesus in the places where He walks…He always walks in humility. 

Maybe this week we can spend more time pondering what our eyes do not see, what our minds cannot grasp onto in physical realms, but believe me, friend, it is right here in our midst. The kingdom, yes, the KINGDOM of our GOD is here and it is coming.

So, let me ask you this, what in the world are you living for? Because nothing, nothing, not. one. single. thing. is worth more than Christ. And if you belong to Him, you are a child of the Light. Let’s me and you stop living as others do, let’s walk around in the full light of day. And let the Son of God do His work in us. Let Him shine on us and make us grow and make us to bear the sweetest of fruit, though it may be appear for a moment that nothing is actually happening in our lives, in our work. Oh, beloved be sure…something is happening and God will reveal all in due course and we will receive the commendation that comes from God if we will imitate His patience and walk where He always walks, in humility.
