If you focus on the world this Christmas your vision is bound to be blurry, but if you fix your eyes on Jesus…. Remember in the incarnation that He came to adorn the red stained cross…you will see. The darkness is great, but it does not overcome Him. The Light shines brighter & brighter until the full light of day…. This is our hope. CHRIST. IN. US. The hope of glory. So when we sit for 3 full days with family enjoying good food and precious gifts, we remember the true Gift and Christmas comes in focus.

His side poured water and blood. The red of Christmas…let it remind us of the red of Easter, the blood, the healing wounds. If Advent is about waiting for Him, the Jesus seeker awaits Him still for He came and is coming. He brought a Kingdom and will usher in its fullness.

We wait still.

It is a glorious wait  as we get to do His will, our JOY. What makes Christmas Merry is not how many presents you wrap and place underneath a fake or real tree. It’s not how many cookies you bake or who has the best tablescape. What makes Christmas so very MERRY is that Jesus wrapped His broken body around a tree and struggled for air and gave up His spirit for you…for me.  And then rose again (Praise HIM)!  Let yourself be saved from blindness…from life as a blur. God became a Man. The humiliation of One brought life to the faith-full. And I am most undeserving, so weak in faith, yet I wait. And those who wait on Him grow stronger…. MERRY CHRISTMAS indeed. The wait isn’t over yet.
